OpenMontage Unveils Open-Source Agentic Video Production System

OpenMontage has published an open-source agentic video production system, claiming it is the first of its kind. The system converts AI coding assistants into multi-stage video production pipelines, shipping with 12 pipelines, over 100 integrated tools, and 700+ skill files.

For operators, this lowers the barrier to autonomous multimedia content generation. Previously, producing a finished video required stitching together separate models and custom orchestration logic; OpenMontage consolidates scripting, asset generation, and assembly into a single agent framework. The operational shift is that agents can now be tasked with full deliverables, not just code or text outputs. This makes complex video workflows cheaper to prototype and deploy, and it obsoletes the need to build bespoke video-generation middleware internally.
