Claude Obsidian: Self-Organizing AI Second Brain for Markdown

Claude-obsidian couples Claude Code with the Obsidian vault filesystem to autonomously read, link, and file Markdown notes into a structured knowledge graph. The project operates as a hands-off background agent, not a retrieval plugin.
Personal knowledge management moves from manual curation to delegated triage. The operational shift is that note organization becomes an automated post-processing step, making the cost of capturing raw information near zero. For AI builders, this is a template for agent-based file system management: models as semantic operators on local data stores. The pattern directly applies to any Markdown-centric repo, codebase documentation, or research log. Expect workflows that currently rely on manual tagging, folder hierarchy, and cross-linking to be replaced by periodic autonomous sweeps.
